Workshops 2017

Workshops to be presented at the 2018 Convention

Stavanger, Norway 7th-9th September 2018

Guidelines for Workshops at GDS/DAG Convention

We are looking for workshop sessions that offer something that is fun to do and that delegates can learn from. We also want to offer a variety in terms of workshop scope and costs so that there is something for everyone.

We expect instructors to provide a set of notes for each workshop attendee, with instructions and materials to allow them to complete their workshop piece outside the allotted time if necessary, or to accompany any kits that they sell.

We require this information by 7th January 2018 to ensure that it is included with the convention programme and booking forms.

If your proposed workshop is selected you will be informed by 11th March 2018.

If it is not selected you will be informed, but we will hold the information on record for future events (the numbers, prices, etc. will be subject to update).

The Workshop co-ordinator will confirm numbers booked to instructors by 16th June 2018

If, due to unforeseen circumstances, the instructor cannot attend they must notify the Workshop Co-ordinator as soon as possible. We would prefer not to cancel any workshop that has been offered. If possible, please nominate an alternative instructor for your workshop.

Workshop fees will now be paid by delegates when booking their place at the workshop, this also includes payments for any kits ordered. It is advisable to have a helper handle any further sales of kits so as not to detract from the instruction. [The only items that an Instructor may sell during the workshop class time are kits, additional kits and/or items specifically related to the workshop or the completion of the project. The Instructor may sell any of these same items from a booth or table in the sales room during the Doll Fair.]

The Instructor gives the organisers permission to take and publish photographs of the workshop in progress.

Students will be registered to the convention before their participation in workshops.

The event organisers are not responsible for any transaction between Instructor or Students
